Chicken Stir Fry Without Soy Sauce

If you have a soy allergy, you can still enjoy a deliocus stir fry! This stir fry also uses olive oil, so is safe for someone with a sesame allergy, and does not use any fish or oyster sauce.
This is a light and delicous chicken stir fry without soy sauce. It is gluten free, dairy free, and paleo.
This chicken stir fry has just a few simple ingredients, but is packed with flavor and color. This is one of our go to weeknight meals!

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs lbs chicken breast cut into strips
  • 6 tablespoon lemon juice divided into 4T + 4T, the juice of 2 lemons total
  • 4 tablespoon olive oil divided into 2T + 2T
  • 2 carrots cut into thin rounds and cut in half
  • 1 large red pepper cut into strips
  • 3 kale leaves chopped
  • 2 tablespoon water

Instructions

  • Add chicken breast strips, 2 Tablespoons lemon juice, and 2 Tablespoons olive oil to a bowl and mix. Allow to sit while you chop the vegetables.
  • Cut 2 carrots into round chips, cut chips in half if carrots are very large.
  • Cut 1 large red pepper into thin strips.
  • Chop 3 kale leaves.
  • Add 2 Tablespoons olive oil to a pan or walk and heat.
  • Add carrots and stir fry 3-5 minutes until they begin to brown. Remove from pan and add to a bowl.
  • Add red peppers and 2 Tablespoons water to the pan and stir fry for 3-5 minutes until the peppers begin to soften.
  • Remove peppers from pan and add to bowl with carrots.
  • Saute half of the chicken in the pan until browned and cooked through to 165F. Add to bowl with vegetables.
  • Stir fry the remaining chicken until browned and cooked through to 165F.
  • Add chicken and vegetables from bowl back to the pan and stir.
  • Add Kale and stir.
  • Add remaining 2 Tablespoons of lemon juice and stir.
  • Saute until Kale is wilted, and serve.

Notes

Just becuase you don't eat soy or can't doesn't mean you can't have a great stir fry!
This stir fry is made with simple ingredients, and is light and delcious.
You can serve it with rice, salald, or eat it on its own without anything else.
While this is a chicken stir fry without soy sauce, you can substitue beef, tofu, or anything else you would like. You can also add more veggies to make this a vegan stir fry recipe.
